I am limiting this to one a day as it's the only thing worth watching at the moment.

Just watched the first ep. Very good if you're not into crash bang shit. Written by a Brit too, who cut his teeth as a playwright at the Royal Court.

Wow, I just watched the first two episodes on this thread's recommendation and loved it so cheers all. I love his sarcastic girlfriend- not a usual American trait. When she drags him onto the dance-floor and he just shuffles his feet and she says 'hey, didn't I see you on Soul-train'? I love little asides like that.
Also his partner telling him not to take his side-arm in to see the serial killer.
'why not'?
'Because he'll take it off of you, kill you with it and then fuck your head'.

alfs, yes he shows no emotion at all. the scary thing is he wasn't arrested until 2005 and though they have it down as ten murders that he'd committed, I'm sure he did loads more over that long time period

Wasn't there a film of the same name with FBI profiling division training program on serial killers with Val Kilmer ..was a few years ago now...is it a spin off from this?

Not sure who off here recommended this but compared to most of the shit I watch it was a cut above. The pace of it might test your patience, certainly during the first few episodes, but it's worth sticking with. Some great writing and acting.
As Miike says, you might want to give the lead actor a slap, but given the amount of material available on the character he's based on, he might just be acting ?
